This is a follow-up to the recent posting on the RDA Toolkit subscription. Right now it appears there is no way to formally logout unless you login to your personal profile. If you haven't created a personal profile, I encourage you to do so--there is no limit to the number of profiles that can be sustained. If you don't log in, closing the browser tab does not log you out; currently the Toolkit will free up a space only when the timeout has expired (which is about a half hour).

Subject: Re: [RDA-L] RDA Toolkit Concurrent users
Thank you for your note. Currently the logout button only displays when users are logged into their user profiles in addition to the site. So users must log into their user profile to logout. Clearly this isn't an acceptable long-term solution. The developer is working on a change to the system to allow users to log out to drop a concurrent user without being logged into their profile, but it isn't ready on the live site yet. This functionality is part of a bigger user profile enhancement we are planning over the next few months.
In the mean time in addition to the double user offer we are also extending each account some extra users to compensate for this short-term difficulty in logging out to free up concurrent users.
If a user does close their browser tab the concurrent users will automatically free up after a period of inactivity. Changes to this his period of time and the calculation of what constitutes activity vs. inactivity are currently being evaluated and tested on a development server. We expect to make modification to the live site soon to make improvement to both of these functions to minimize user interruption caused by timeouts set too short requiring frequent logins, while still timing out quickly enough to free up concurrent users as soon as possible
If anyone feels they are not getting the full use of their purchased users please contact us at www.rdatoolkit.org/support<http://www.rdatoolkit.org/support> . We will review the logs and will work with subscribers to ensure they are getting the access level they purchased.
Kind regards,

Since today is Sept. 1, I am assuming our subscription for x number of concurrent users is in place. We are accessing via IP address. In Cataloger's Desktop and ClassWeb, there are buttons to log out when a user session is done. I don't find one in the RDA Toolkit display. Do we just need to close the browser tab?
