Subject: [RDA-L] NCSU Libraries RDA Training Documentation

NCSU Libraries Metadata & Cataloging is happy to share our RDA
documentation & training materials with the community. NCSU Libraries
is an RDA testing participant. Our documentation can be found at:
https://staff.lib.ncsu.edu/confluence/display/MNC/RDA+Test
[Steven Arakawa]

While our goal is to make as many materials as open as possible,
visitors should note that they may find occasional pages restricted
throughout this site (logins, staff information, etc.). Please also
note that this is a living documentation site for NCSU catalogers and
will change and grow as we proceed. All decisions apply only to the US
RDA Test period. We have set nothing in stone and our RDA documentation
is quite a moving target. NCSU Libraries will make implementation
decisions based on testing results and in conjunction with the community
nationally.

We hope this site will be useful to you. In addition to our staff
documentation and our local policies and decisions pertaining to the
test, we have put up the Powerpoints we created to train our staff and
we have written an FAQ
(https://staff.lib.ncsu.edu/confluence/display/MNC/NCSU+RDA+Training+FAQ
[Steven Arakawa]
) on
our training experience thus far: How did NCSU train our RDA trainers?
What resources did NCSU use when creating RDA training? How was the
NCSU RDA training developed? What was covered? If you have other
questions that you have been pondering, please email Christee Pascale at
christee_pascale at ncsu.edu, Associate Head of Metadata & Cataloging and
Chair of our training team.

We are also happy for feedback on this site. Feel free to pass on
comments to either myself or Christee.
