Subject: [Desktop] Cataloger's Desktop 2012 Issue 4 released
Colleagues:
I am pleased to report that 2012 Issue 4 of Cataloger's Desktop is now available. The current issue includes:
* DCM: Descriptive Cataloging Manual, 2012 Update 4
* LC-PCC PS: Library of Congress-Program for Cooperative Cataloging Policy Statements, 2012 Update 5, October 2012
* RDA: Resource Description and Access, October 2012 update
* Subject Headings Manual, Update 2, July 2012
The Library of Congress Policy Statements (or "LCPS") resource has been renamed "Library of Congress-Program for Cooperative Cataloging Policy Statements, or "LC-PCC PS". There are a number of references to "LCPS" that will be updated to "LC-PCC PS" in the coming months. If you encounter any of these references please email me at bjoh at loc.gov<mailto:bjoh at loc.gov> with specifics about where the old terminology appears.
I would also like to alert you that we are in the final phase of updating and migrating Cataloger's Desktop to a new hosting facility in San Diego. We are making this change to ensure that Desktop remains available 24-7-365. We expect that the move will take place over a weekend to minimize user impacts. We will alert you several days in advance when we are ready to switch to the new hosting environment.
Thank you for your continued support. As always please let us know if there is anything we can do to improve our service to you.
