Hello everyone-

I just added a few SEA Uncat call number prefixes to the LCMatch program per a request from Rick and Rich. As of today, the LCMatch program looks for the following:

-Bib records with call numbers beginning

UNCAT
SEEUNCAT
SASUNCAT
TAGUNCAT
VIEUNCAT
THAUNCAT
CAMUNCAT
LAOUNCAT
INDUNCAT
MALUNCAT
BUUUNCAT
LACUNCAT
SSLEGCUNCAT
SSLUNCAT
GRKUNCAT
DIVUNCAT

-And with any encoding levels EXCEPT 4, I (capital i) , L, [space] or blank (null).

All these records are pulled into a candidate pool and their ISBNs/LCCNs/ISSNs are checked against fully cataloged records in our LCDB. Any matches found are pulled out and given the UNCAT bib's bib id. These records are then loaded the same way we load MARS records- directly on top of the UNCAT bib. A list of the updated UNCAT records is sent out after this whole routine finishes.

LCMatch runs at 2pm every Friday.

For any questions about this process or to add more candidate UNCAT call numbers, please email me.

Happy Friday!
