Dear Library Colleagues,

Library IT would like to invite you to our open house on Thursday, November 21st from 2:30-4:00.  Library IT is located on the 5th and 6th floors of Sterling Memorial Library.  This is an opportunity to see what we do and ask questions about current Library IT projects.

The self-guided tour will begin in SML room 510.
Here is an overview of what you will see:


5th Floor

Room 510: Michael Dula's office

Welcome, overview of Library IT. Light refreshments will be served.



Room 512: Systems Infrastructure & Integration Services

Overview of library servers and storage



Room 509: Workstation & Technology Services

               Desktop support & review of the Expert User program



Room 507: Enterprise Systems and Programming Group

Ask questions about the new self-service MARC record extraction, MARC manipulation tools, Hathi Trust, and see how the request interface for ILLiad is being reimaged.



6th Floor

Room 609: User Experience

See a display of Google Analytics reflecting real-time activity on the web server, ask questions about interfaces (Blacklight, Summon, web site, Libguides, etc.). Light refreshments will be served.



Room 607: Digital Library & Programming Services

Ask questions about the programming side of Blacklight, Ladybird, Hydra, and Fedora



Room 606: Mike Friscia's office

Visit Mike's computer museum.
