I am pleased to report that Cataloger's Desktop 2014 Issue 2 is ready for release on Tuesday, April 22nd. The issue will include the following new and updated resources:

New

*        Best Practices for Music Cataloging Using RDA and MARC21 (MLA)

Updated

*        Descriptive Cataloging Manual: 2014 Update 2 (April 2014)

*        Geographical Names of Canada (Natural Resources Canada)

*        GEOnet Names Server (National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency)

*        Library of Congress-Program for Cooperative Cataloging Policy Statements: April 2014 update

*        Resource Description and Access: April 2014 release

*        Subject Headings Manual: Update 1, February 2014

*        Toolbox for Processing and Cataloging Federal Government Documents (GODORT)

*        Toolbox for Processing and Cataloging International Government Documents (GODORT)

Additionally, several dozen web resources have been updated. The issue will include no updates to Cataloger's Desktop functionality. Information about updates to RDA Toolkit, scheduled for release concurrent with Cataloger's Desktop, is available at http://www.rdatoolkit.org/development/April2014release.

Cataloger's Desktop will be unavailable for up to two hours during the update. Work will begin at 5 PM eastern daylight time (2100 UTC/GMT) on Tuesday, April 22nd  . Thank you for your patience as we update and enhance our service to you.
