The Architect of the Capitol will again briefly shut down all power to the Library of Congress data center, as it has done for the last several years.  The Architect of the Capitol will be conducting scheduled maintenance on the Capitol Hill campus from Friday, July 29, through Sunday, July 31, requiring these power outages.

The process to shut down the affected systems will begin on Friday, July 29 at 5:00 PM Eastern time, and restoration of systems should be completed by Monday, August 1 at 6:00 am.

Thus id.loc.gov, the LC web site, all listservs, and schemas for validation will not be accessible for that period.
