[Yulcat-l] Voyager Tag Table update this week

Good morning all,

The Voyager tag tables will be updated this Wednesday, August 21st.

The update includes:

  *   Bibliographic data format changes (No. 38, June 2024) listed at https://www.loc.gov/marc/bibliographic/bdapndxg.html
  *   Authority data format changes (No. 38, June 2024) listed at https://www.loc.gov/marc/authority/adapndxf.html
  *   Holdings data format changes (No. 38, June 2024) listed at https://www.loc.gov/marc/holdings/hdapndxf.html
  *   Rolling back the previous change to 022 $l and $m, due to current guidance ("Continue to use obsolete subfield $l (lower-case L) for recording ISSN-L and obsolete subfield $m for recording cancelled ISSN-L, pending the future implementation of field 023 for NACO authority records.")
  *   New local 9XX fields
     *   908 - for future migration use
     *   975 and 976 - requested by Jennifer Bazeley for e-resource record use

There is no action needed on your part - the update should install automatically when you connected to VPN if you are off-campus, or when you log into your PC if you are on-campus. If you experience any errors, please let Library IT know through the report a problem form.
