[Yulpub] Fwd: [DIG_REF] Google News Adds Historical Newspaper Archives

People can see the archive search in action now by going to:
http://news.google.com/archivesearch

The very unfortunate thing about this development is that the links for 
older material will not alert people to content that is available to them 
through Yale or ICONN subscriptions.  They will be taken to a pay per view 
site only (unless I'm missing something in the search display.)  If patrons 
ask about this search they should be alerted to the good fulltext content 
that we provide for historical newspapers (such as Historical Newspapers 
Complete).  Of course many won't ask and I'm afraid just won't know what we 
have.
