Subject: [Welcome] Translation services on iCONN databases
Welcome Libraries:
We recently received a press release from Gale about some new features in their InfoTrac One File databases. Included in the many new features is this notice:
"Content can now be translated into 7 different languages, making InfoTrac a useful resource even if your community demographics are changing."
Search for articles in InfoTrac One File, General Reference Center Gold, or Expanded Academic ASAP. Once you open up the link to an individual article you will see a "translate" blue button. Choose from Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Japanese, Italian, Chinese (Simplified) or Korean. That's actually eight languages!
You also can change to 3 other languages (Spanish, French and Portuguese) on the search interface page by using the Preferences link (upper, right-hand corner). Change the language in Preferences, hit refresh and all of the labels in the interface change.
ProQuest also provides interface language options plus translation into 11 languages -- all of Gale's list plus Turkish, Russian and Chinese (traditional).
