[Yulpub] Full text U.S. Congressional hearings through LexisNexis Congressional

Yale University Library has purchased the "Congressional Hearings Digital 
Collection" from LexisNexis. When complete, the full text of 
U.S. Congressional 
hearings from 1824-2003 will be available through LexisNexis 
Congressional.

Many full text hearings from 1977-1982 are already available in LexisNexis 
Congressional (http://web.lexis-nexis.com/congcomp). If you'd like to have 
a look at some, try this sample search:
1. From the Basic search screen, type "nicaragua" and "hearing" in the two 
search fields.
2. Choose the radio button for "Restrict by Congress" and select 
"96(1979-1980)" from the drop-down menu.

As you will see, the results are sorted by type; in this instance:
Hearing (11)
Hearings -- Digital Collection (9)
Legislative History (2)
Senate Unpublished Hearings Collection (12)

The full text hearings are listed under "Hearings -- Digital Collection." 
Plain "Hearing" and "Senate Unpublished Hearings Collection" results are 
A&I records - not linked to full-text, even when full-text is available. 
At this point LexisNexis is not merging and de-duping the results lists.

LexisNexis began digitizing hearings from 1979 and 1980, and is 
simultaneously working backward and forward from those years.
More full text hearings are added to LN Congressional every month.
