[Yulpub] Fwd: [ili-l] Visual literacy article in the Washington Post

Instruction & reference folks:
I had the real pleasure to work with two colleagues [Cindy Cunningham, 
formerly of Corbis and Loanne Snavely, Penn State U Library]  to make a 
presentation at ALA last month [ACRL Arts and Instructional Literacy 
sections sponsored] about the intersection of visual and information 
literacy.   Since the presentation contains a number of images not cleared 
for posting to the web, I can't easily share the presentation props with 
you. [I understand ACRL will be posting some thing about it eventually, 
including a podcast interview with us.]   However we were flattered to see 
the Washington Post mention it in an article about the growing student 
involvement with visual/media information and lack of visual literacy 
skills.   A long introduction to share with you the reference to this
