Instruction & reference folks:
I had the real pleasure to work with two colleagues [Cindy Cunningham,
formerly of Corbis and Loanne Snavely, Penn State U Library] to make a
presentation at ALA last month [ACRL Arts and Instructional Literacy
sections sponsored] about the intersection of visual and information
literacy. Since the presentation contains a number of images not cleared
for posting to the web, I can't easily share the presentation props with
you. [I understand ACRL will be posting some thing about it eventually,
including a podcast interview with us.] However we were flattered to see
the Washington Post mention it in an article about the growing student
involvement with visual/media information and lack of visual literacy
skills. A long introduction to share with you the reference to this
article that may be of interest. fyi, Danuta
