Hi,
I am happy that my colleague Denise is continuing to press on this. I have
already "fed" the attached document to the Reference Group as my own
example, as liaison for the Surgery and Emergency Medicine Depts. at the
Medical School.
The MetaLib local developers are aware of my document and continue to cite
the inflexibility of ExLibris to allow our ability to customize many parts
of the MetaLib (like not having two different sub-categories for two
different spellings of Anesthesiology...Huh?) Perhaps they are behind in
bringing local customization forward, but it should be their priority for
customers like Yale.
As Denise mentions, please work up your own examples. At ALA midwinter or
where-ever, be prepared to present our unhappiness.
