Hello public service folks,
In case anyone asks - the Yale Government Documents Center is not a distribution point for tax forms. We haven't been for a few years now. We found that so few people came in to get paper forms that we ended up recycling the majority of forms every year; it no longer made sense to serve as a distribution point.
The State of Connecticut has a helpful site listing distribution points for Connecticut state tax forms: http://www.ct.gov/drs/cwp/view.asp?a=1509&q=453002.
I can't find a comparable IRS site, but it may be the case that if a particular library, post office, or other site is providing paper state tax forms, it will have paper federal tax forms as well. It's not a guarantee, though - the IRS has for the past few years been trying to cut back on use of printed forms, including dropping sites from its tax forms outlet program.
Julie
