FYI, someone wondered:
"I was wondering what the timeline is for the Web Content Management
system, and if there will be additional information about it and
changes to the Library's website communicated?"
An answer:
We're starting to develop the policies now and will have procedures in
place by the end of next month (I hope). We've moved a very small
number of test sites in to help us understand how the system works and
how it should be configured. There will be a presentation(s) sometime
in the coming month to show the system and help people start thinking
about how to move content into it. The biggest thing people can do now
is to start moving internal information from the web server and Jasper
into sharepoint.
If you want to start reading, you can visit HannonHill.com -- all the
documentation is there. I can set up your login for basic read-only
access if you'd like to look around the system.
I don't mean to keep this info secret, I just don't always know the
answers since we're still figuring out all the details of the new
system.
(BTW, "us" and "we" here means me, Meng, Remi and Alice Peterson-Hart,
who are working on figuring out the details)
