The CBA field trip to Guilford this weekend was great fun. In addition to
the butterflies, there were interesting damselflies at the small pond at
Jared Elliot. Our group was front and center on an excellent chaseable
bird of the day in CT - the Marbled Godwit in the marsh seen from Chaffinch
Island Park. Report and photos on CTbirds.

Photos on flickr, including the excellent showing of Hackberry Emperors.
This butterfly is also nicknamed the gray ghost because when flying high in
trees it looks whitish, grayish, ands can quickly disappear leaving you
wondering what, if anything, you saw.
The smallest damselfly was so tiny and hidden in the grass, You canno see it
in the wide shot of the grass. Zooming in to the size of a pinprick, the
damselfly was found by the bight blue on the end of its tail.
