Dear Colleagues,

Your focus is often (understandably) on the day-to-day needs of your
institution. Planning always seems to take a back seat. But thoughtful
planning is a significant indicator of organizational success. Are you
looking ahead? Is your board prepared? Are you prepared?

Did you know that:
*	In any given year, one out of ten nonprofit boards (including
museums) will face the challenge of searching for a new executive
director?
*	84% of museums answering a recent survey did not have succession
plans in their museums?

Join your colleagues and leading thinkers Maureen Robinson, Anne
Ackerson and Laura Roberts for the next AAM Professional Development
live web conference:

Executive Suite: Planning for Leadership Transition
In collaboration with the Museum Association of New York (MANY) and
LearningTimes
February 9, 10, 11
2-3:30 p.m. (ET) each day

In this three-part online program, we'll examine governance matters that
impact executive performance, strategic thinking and effective decision
making; the importance of succession planning; and how fostering
leadership throughout the museum contributes to building organizational
capacity and resilience.
*                                             Part 1: Director to
