Can anyone point me to literature on deterioration in dry-stored crustacean specimens? Our collection has a large and important body of 19th-century crustacean type material that is stored dry. I would like to know as much as possible about long-term decay of these and other proteinous exoskeletons in order to determine the best storage method from now.
