Position Summary
The Museum Specialist in the department of Mammalogy will be responsible for the following:

Care and maintenance of collections including pest management, environmental monitoring, participating in collections moves, and data management.

Processing and packing specimen loans (both incoming and outgoing loans), including finding specimens in the collections and returning borrowed specimens to their storage areas.
Assisting visitors, including processing information requests and supervising and assisting visitors both onsite and at offsite collection storage locations

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in biology or related field is required.
Experience with integrated pest management is desirable.
Experience in caring for museum collections, and a background in systematics and/or vertebrate morphology are desirable.
Ability to work well with others and strong interpersonal skills required.
Good manual dexterity sufficient for duties above and time management skills are required.
