Hi all,

do concur with Andy, and this problem (one-to-many relations) e.g. holds
also true for scanned insect drawers (x species from y localities with z
individualised tissues etc.), lichen/fungi collections (x grows on y and
consumes z and I do have tissues of all) or if you want to match one
regulation/permit to many collection objects with different hierarchies
/ storage location.

Even though we tackled this nicely in our modular database, no matter
how nice your solution is, as soon as these data should get shared, we
run into troubles. Might be worth if somebody could look into this ...
especially if we are meant to stay on track of utilised GR under the
Nagoya Protocol, i.e. which part comes out of what. So there might also
a be legal responsibility not too loose this connection when they share
data in the public.

All the best
Dirk
