Thanks Andy,

We just started doing this in the Herpetology department a few months ago
and are still working on entering in the 2700 known citations our
department has (profile is here: https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__scholar.google.c&d=DwIFaQ&c=-dg2m7zWuuDZ0MUcV7Sdqw&r=CLFZJ3fvGSmDp7xK1dNZfh6uGV_h-8NVlo3fXNoRNzI&m=odyfcQ-xGnIEw5EjOoli5Ecsbxjyqqjn-H0oWD9GrWY&s=hD-UQkzw5ppBQMfyOIHCr-cDcuTSuk7tfubPBXPu8SA&e=
om/citations?user=XHmjakQAAAAJ&hl=en&authuser=2). We had a separate email
to link it to created by our IT department (herpetology at calacademy.org).

I'm curious if you've come across an issue that we just started having with
entering citations--starting a couple of weeks ago, publications are no
longer showing up when we search for them. Under "Citations," we used to be
able to click on "Add," then use the search bar for any number of searches
("CAS Herpetology," author last name, title of publication, etc.) and then
add the relevant publications to our citations list. This was especially
helpful when we could pull up all publications from a single author and
check off the ones that used our collection. However, searches no longer
come up with anything, only "Your search - *(search)* - did not match any
article groups." Entering each publication manually is time-intensive when
we're trying to get through a couple thousand.

I entered a support ticket with Google Scholar last week but have yet to
hear anything. Since you (and perhaps other SPNHC-ers) are using the
Citations feature, I thought I'd see if anyone is experiencing the same
issues and, if so, if there's a way around it.

This definitely is a great way to get proof of relevancy of collections (if
we can eventually get ours completed)!

Best,
Laura
