[Nhcoll-l] beetle colony invader

Hi!

I have been dealing with this exact problem in our colony. I have been
sorting and creating a new dermestid colony. One thing I will strongly
suggest is to do a secondary sort before placing the dermestids into a new
tank. You will almost be guaranteed to pick up some ham beetles along with
the dermestids during the initial sort. So I have been placing beetles
taken from the original colony in a cup and then sorting them out again in
a separate container before placing the dermestids in a new tank for the
time being.

Hope this helps!

Elisa
