[Nhcoll-l] buckets for specimens

... just out of curiosity:

the largest polycarbonate container, item 107-1222, 14,78'' x 15'' 
(roughly 37 x 38 cm ) costs 328.90 U$ (293,45 EUR). The borosilicate jar 
I recently purchased to accommodate our new black-tip reef shark 
measures 120 cm x 20 cm (approx. 47'' x 7,90'') and costs 291,00 EUR.

Apparently the polycarbonate containers are more expensive then high 
quality borosilicate jars. Why not preferring borosilicate ?
