Hank Golet, Old Lyme, Two E Commas and Four M Cloaks. These butterflies were all on the same sunny knoll, knob, high area (looking for the right description) in a oak hickory forest with wetlands near by. The high spot is moss with some grass and a half dozen cedar trees, bed rock showing through in many places and areas of leaves with a few bright sunny spots. Butterflies were all within a forty foot circle (except for one of the commas that was about 90 feet away) and interacting with each other. Cloaks would circle around together and when one would fly by the comma that was on the ground it would get into the chase. The friend who called me had seen three cloaks and one comma yesterday in the same place.
