Two more moths

Everybody,
This is a follow up to JH's post. I like two moth posts. That seems
like the right number. I just looked up the two moths Jon posted and now
I'll be on the lookout for those at my porch light. Two moths are good.
Here's my two:
Orange sallow (Rhodoecia aurantiago)--(Covell, Plate 27, #22) the color
of this moth is outstanding, I'd call it burnt orange. Larvae feed on
mullein seedpods (among other thing) which I have here in profusion.

Ultronia underwing (Catocala ultronia)--(Covell, Plate 33, #9) Wow, I
see why people get hooked on underwings! This beauty has an explosively
dramatic red and black underwing that caught me off guard when I touched
the dull smokey brown/gray forewings. That "startle effect" really
works.

The citations included are for the Peterson Field Guide by Covell, the
only moth book I'm able to use. Just in case anyone wants to look these
critters up.

Yesterday I had four Monarchs in my yard and at least six Great Spangled
Fritillaries and there was no fighting. Strange?
