Bill Yule asked if others have been seeing lots of Red Admirals - They have been coming through my area steadily. My wife had a plant swap party on Sunday and they kept landing on people (probably checking their ID).

Went out yesterday to do some butterflying once the rain stopped at about 3:30. Found 13 species - list below.

May 28 - At the Lake Hammo Reg. Water Co. property in Madison with Bill & Cindi Kobak (bold-face - new for the year for me):

6 Red Admirals (with another 3 in my Killingworth yard)
7 Little Wood Satyrs
3 American Ladies
1 Spicebush Swallowtail
2 Tiger Swallowtails
2 Am. Coppers
1 Eastern Tailed Blue
2 Pearl Crescents
1 Monarch
1 Dreamy Duskywing
3 Wild Indigo Duskywings
4 Juvenal's Duskywings
2 Tawny-edged Skippers

AND 1 Nessus Sphinx! (a day-flier)

Also 5 species of dragonflies including 2 different kinds of Jewelwings and a some good sized congregations (is that what you call a group of dragonflies?) of Calico Pennants!!

Wish work didn't get in the way of playing outside.
