October 2
I was checking the buddleia at the top of my driveway (Killingworth)
and saw a LONG-TAILED SKIPPER!!! It was beautifully fresh! It had flown
off by the time I went to grab it for a photo.
I spent about an hour deadheading the buddleias this morning and would like
to think
that was my reward.
With that single Ocola yesterday, and today's Long-tailed Skipper,
it could be said that those two are the most common skippers in my yard
this October.
