it's a...skipper!

Hi Everybody,
I'm very proud of myself--I managed to rear something other than a
Monarch.
My Tawny-Edged Skipper eclosed today! The egg had been laid next to me
back in mid August. I knew that it had pupated a couple of weeks ago (I
opened its grassy nest and found a really cute little chrysalis--I
planned to photograph it, but...) I didn't know how long it was likely
to stay, but with the warm weather, I decided not to try refrigerating
it. Anyway, I happened to glance in its cage today, and there was a
skipper looking at me. Once it started flying around the cage, I
brought it outside. When I opened the cage, it left so quickly, I
didn't even see it where it went.
Thank you Bill, Harry, Jeff, and Carol for your advice during this
project! Hopefully next year I'll have Monarchs to raise again :-)
