updated directions to Flanders Nature Center

If you are planning to attend the Connecticut Butterfly Association 10th Annual Field Day event Saturday here are more detailed directions to the Sugar House where we will be.

I-84 to exit 15.  Take US Rt 6 thru Woodbury to Flanders Rd.  It is exactly 6 miles from the exit to the intersection.  Turn left onto Flanders.  There is a sign on the corner for the nature center.  Follow Flanders Rd exactly 3 miles to Church Hill Rd.  Turn right onto Church Hill (a gravel road) and go about 1/4 mile.  The Nature Center parking lot will be on your right.  The Sugar House is a short walk at the end of the lot.  There are picnic tables for our use so bring your lunch.  The Sugar House is fully operational and produces maple syrup which you will be able to purchase if you wish.  CBA will have plants and books for sale.

Flanders Nature Center  has trails thru woods and meadows on over two hundred acres.
