Seen in Lyme today: American Copper
Mourning Cloaks can be pretty aggressive in protecting their domain, a small
clearing, from other Mourning Cloaks. I was a bit surprised today when I saw
a Mourning Cloak chasing a Bumblebee. He must have kicked in the
afterburners to stay with the bee and after about 75' he gave up the chase, satisfied
that his domain was safe, and returned to the center of his little clearing.
