Dead Monarch

Mike,

I don't need it, but the way to send one if you ever do, is to put it into a suitably sized stamp (glassine) envelope (or a paper triangle envelope - check Scot 1986, Howe 1975, Klots 1951 etc.), put it into a small tupeware container lined with tissue to protect the envelope and specimen, then put the container and contents into a Ready-Post envelope or box and just mail it...

How sorry it is that the more recent Field Guides don't even get into this sort of subject...Very little (if anything) in terms of info on how to collect, prepare and curate specimens...Unfortunate, really...

Alex

Subject: Dead Monarch

I went outside just now and found a dead Monarch (no tag) on the strip in front of my sidewalk. It's in near perfect condition. If anybody wants it please tell me and also tell me how to package and send it.
