8/7 - I had the following species of butterflies in my yard today:


Eastern Tiger Swallowtail 3
Spicebush Swallowtail 2
Cabbage White 3
Red-banded Hairstreak 1
Summer Azure 2
Great Spangled Fritillary 1
Pearl Crescent 1
Painted Lady 1
Silver-spotted Skipper 4
Peck's Skipper 20+
Tawny-edged Skipper 5
Zabulon Skipper 1
Dun Skipper 1
No Giants yet, has anyone seen them in the Naugatuck/Waterbury area recently?

Yesterday, 8/6, I had a Red-banded Hairstreak on a Sumac Sp with white flowers in the Naugatuck Industrial Park along with thousands of bees and wasps. Sumac is in full bloom right now in the park.
