STUDENT SELLS SOUL TO KEEP BOREDOM AT (e)BAY
A 20-year-old University of Washington student and self-described
atheist  posted a listing on the eBay online auction site to sell
his soul, and  before eBay removed the listing a Des Moines, Iowa,
woman had bid $400.  Intending the posting as a joke, the student
said: "I was just bored, and  I'm a geek. So anytime I'm bored, I
go back to my Internet." (Los Angeles  Times 9 Feb 2001)
