Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce that the first edition of Gallo-Romance Advances in Morphology & Syntax (GRAMS) will be held at Trinity College Dublin on 25 and 26 May 2026.

GRAMS embraces the full diversity of the Gallo-Romance continuum: from French and its varieties to the Occitan languages, not forgetting Gascon, Franco-Provençal, the dialects of the Croissant, etc. We invite linguists working on any aspect of Gallo-Romance syntax or morphology, from both diachronic and synchronic perspectives, to submit their work. We encourage both formal analyses, regardless of the theoretical framework adopted, and rigorous descriptive studies based on new empirical data and/or innovative methodological approaches.

The deadline for abstract submission is 5 January 2026, and the conference languages are French, Occitan and English.

The guest speakers are Sam Wolfe (University of Oxford) and Michelle Sheehan (Newcastle University).
