Yale College Summer Traveling Fellowships (Bates et al) for Juniors
The Summer Traveling Fellowships are awarded to Juniors (or students for
whom 2006 is their final summer) in Yale College who give evidence that
their educational experience can be significantly enhanced by an
independent project of study and/or research outside of the continental
United States. The selection committee normally expects the proposals to be
for independent projects, although it occasionally allows accompanying
enrollment in a formal program of study (not supported by the
Fellowship). Last year 53 fellowships were awarded.
Application materials are now available (see attachment). Juniors who will
be on leave from Yale during the spring term 2006 (and only these) must
submit their applications by December 2, 2005, and must expect to be
interviewed on Thursday, December 8, 2005. All other applications must be
submitted on or before January 20, 2006.
