Keep studying your language! If you started a language and have met
the L3 requirement, don't stop. Keep taking the language so that you
complete at least L4 level before studying abroad in a French,
Spanish, Italian, Russian, German, Portuguese speaking country -- you
will need to have completed a intermediate level for Yale's
requirement, and some programs/location require that you have
completed an L5 or L6 level class. Info on Yale's language policy
for the Year or Term Abroad Program can be found at
http://www.yale.edu/iefp/studyabroad/faq.html?mm=1#language
The 2008 International Summer Award Site is Up and Running
Looking for funding for your summer abroad? Check out the 2008
International Summer Award web site
http://www.yale.edu/isa/index.html. ISA-SIC Plus funding can be used
for summer study abroad (Yale Summer Session Abroad, Yale-in-London
summer program, and a list of designated non-Yale study abroad
programs), and UCS Bulldogs Internships, while ISA-SIC can be used to
cover your student income contribution if you win a Yale fellowship
for a summer abroad activity.
See the web site for details, and if you have additional questions,
schedule an appointment to meet with someone in one of the
coordinating offices.

Meet with a Study Abroad Advisor/Talk to a Peer Advisor
If you want to explore your options abroad -- for academic year
and/or for summer -- make sure to schedule an appointment to meet
with an advisor in IEFP. We offer walk-in hours as well as scheduled
appointments. Give Pam a call at 432-8684 and she will schedule a
time for you to meet with an advisor (we don't schedule appointments
by email, so please call!). If you want to get the student
perspective on study abroad, check out the peer list on the study
abroad web site http://www.yale.edu/iefp/studyabroad/peer_region.htm.
We'll be adding new names to the list as we get the okay from the
fall study abroad students, so make sure you check the list again in
a week or so.
Thinking of Study Abroad in the UK? BUTEX has funding to help you
get there ...
