One elaboration: When NHK announced Itami's death on the morning news, they
implied that he jumped because he had been contacted by a sports shinbun
asking for a comment on articles to be published on Monday by a shukanshi
on "josei kosai." It's hard to see how a little sexual indiscretion would
make him commit suicide --- this is, after all, Japan! --- so I suppose
we'll find out more as the media milks the story.
