Itami

I was really shocked to learn of his death and the cause of it.  At first,
I guessed wrongly that he could have been killed by yakuza or right wings
who didn't like his work.
The morning "wide shows" says that Itami was drunk when he jumped.
His death note read "I prove my innocence (regarding the said josei kankei)
by killing myself."
I don't see how it makes sense.  If he commits suicide, it could fuel
whatever suspicion others might or might not hold.
Anyway, I thought it too crude for his actress wife Nobuko Miyamoto.  It
looks as if he was so scared of her outrage, he took the extreme measure to
get out of the mess!
