Madadayo

 Hello.  I'm hoping some of you can help.  I'm preparing a short essay on
Kurosawa's MADADAYO.  I'm interested in knowing how it was received
(reviews, etc.) both in Japan and elsewhere, aside from the US.  Does
anyone know of any positive reviews of the film?  Did it play commercially
outside of Japan?
My memory is that its box office in Japan was virtually non-existent; I
presume this is true.  Does anyone know of any particularly positive
reviews of the film in Japan?
