[Carole Cavanaugh]

Would anyone like to comment further on the divers scene in UTAMARO?
I've always been fascinated by it. The Hollywood connection seems so
obvious; can anyone identify the reference, if there is one, and
perhaps speculate on why Mizoguchi would have made it?
