Introducing myself

My name is Takashi M. Kikuchi, advisor of Japanese Culture Club of
University of California, Davis. Currently I am a 5th-year undergraduate
student. I came to US when I was 14, and has stayed ever since.

Japanese Culture Club was founded to foster the understanding of Japan and
Japanese culture to UCD campus and Davis community. It is our
understanding that showing Japanese films, such as Minbo -- or the Gentle
Art of Japanese Extortion, Rapsody of August, and Yojinbo, free of charge
will enhance the awareness of Japanese culture to otherwise uninterested
mass group.

It is a great pleasure to be accessed to people knowledgable to Japanese
movie because we always struggle on finding what movie to show each year
(We're planning to show _Minbo_ again this quarter). I personally would
like to know more about Japanese movies since I was culturally unaware of
Japanese culture when I was in Japan (well, what do you expect from
then-14-y.o. kid? :-)).

So, nice to write to you all, and hope we can have good discussion.

Takashi M. Kikuchi
Advisor, Japanese Culture Club of UCDavis
