Miyajima Yoshio

It was reported in this morning's papers that Miyajima Yoshio, the 
director of photography on such films as _Ningen no joken_, _Seppuku_, 
and _Kaidan_, died on the 21st at age 88.  A leader in the Toho strikes 
and an active leftist, he also directed many political documentary films 
such as _Jijitsu wa shori suru_, a plea for the defendants in the 
Matsukawa Incident case, and _Chun Ri Ma_, a very sympathetic account of 
North Korea.
