1998 NEW ENGLAND ASSOCIATION FOR ASIAN STUDIES
ANNUAL CONFERENCE
OCTOBER 24, 1998, TUFTS UNIVERSITY

DEADLINE FOR PROPOSALS: JUNE 15


The New England Conference of the Association of Asian Studies will take
place on October 24, 1998, at Tufts University. Proposals for panels and
for round-table discussions in any field and area of specialization are
welcome. All sessions will be one-and-one-half hours in length, so please
plan accordingly. We may assign large panels to double sessions.

Travel funds for this conference are not available from the New England AAS.

Panel proposals (including a list of panelists, not to exceed 4
participants; titles for both the panel and for individual papers; and
two-or three-paragraph summaries of papers), round-table proposals
(including a title, a 1-page rationale, and a list of committed
participants) on topics pertaining to all aspects of Asian Studies should
be sent to:
