Two bits of news

Two bits of news to break the dry spell of KineJapan mail:

1. Higashi Nihon Hausu, the housing and real estate developer known on 
this list for funding the dubious Tojo film _Pride_ to celebrate the 
anniversary of the company's founding, was just cited by tax authorities 
for not reporting over 2,000,000,000 yen in income.  (I wonder how much 
of that money ended up in the _Pride_ budget?)

2. The American _Godzilla_ may have set records in its first week in 
Japan, but the box office plummeted after that, falling by half in the 
second week.  _Deep Impact_, not _Godzilla_, was the top film at the box 
office last week.
