I'm a bit puzzled by the second bit of news. According to Kogyo Tsushin,
which supplies BO figures to the industry, the number one film for last
week was Pocket Monster, which grossed Y315,353,400 in the nine major
cities. Godzilla was number two with Y269,152,400 and Deep Impact was
number three with Y227,890,000. 

Godzilla's plunge, however, was steep, from Y439,680,200 in its opening
week -- or about 39%. 

Aaron, are you quoting nationwide figures, perhaps?
