Making Stills from Video Tapes

Dear Charles:

Have been VERY behind with my mail, so maybe this is too late to add
but..most vhs vcr's will not give you a freeze frame, but actually a freeze
field (where you are only getting 1/2 the video resolution/information as 2
fields = one frame) if the scene doesn't involve much or any movement and
you have the patience to keep trying to grab the perfect still image while
the video is moving, this method will in fact give you a much better
quality still image.
