There is an International Film Festival coming up at the Pacific Film Archive, April 22 - May 6. The listing also says that many of the filmmakers will be appearing in person at the screening (updates 510-642-1124).
Of the films, the Japanese one is (besides the anime, see below):
Ikinai (Hiroshi Shimizu - 1998) --- Thurs May 6 7:00
Has anyone seen either of these? I am thinking of going, but don't have a whole lot of time. Any suggestions?
