Thanks to Timothy for reiterating what should be common sense and for 
reminding people of basic unsubscribing commands.

I should remind all of you that KineJapan is an unmoderated list that 
requires all members to maintain basic decorum.  If they do not, the 
list's existence itself will come into question.  Since the "incident," 
Maureen, Markus and I have discussed the possibilities of making the list 
moderated (which would prevent such incidents), but we are very reluctant 
to do that for many reasons: the time lag (with moderated lists, you can 
send a message and wait half-a-day before it's posted on the list), the 
lack of spontaneity (responses to that then take another half a day), 
and, frankly, the time demands on the owners (we'd have to check the list 
thoroughly 3 to 4 times a day and manually recreate all your messages).  
If incidents like this happen again and it becomes necessary to go 
moderated, we frankly fear that KineJapan will cease to be the way it is.

Anyway, apologies again.  And please all of you take care with your 
future postings!
