Opposition to Ofuna sale

The papers reported this morning that the contract to sell Ofuna was 
signed yesterday the 17th.  Shochiku will have use of the studio for 
another few months to finish up remaining films and then hand over the 
land (which included the defunct Kamakura Cinema World).  The University 
plans to build a new campus there by 2003.

Haven't heard any talk about Ofuna itself on KineJapan.  Anyone have 
anything to say about this, a passing of an era?
