"2H" by Li Ying (Japan 1999) got the Netpac (network for the promotion of
Asian Cinema) prize, jury consisting of I Myung Hee (Korea), Dang Nhat Minh
(Vietnam), Malee Bunyasrisavad (Thailand).
The team of Keih? was quite a bit alienated when towards the end of the main
screening, a terrible noise occured, reason being that a theatre employee was
called on his cellular phone while standing right next to the amplifier.
Still, the fest's newsletter reported the culprit was a team member, which
alienated the Japanese guests even further. Consequently, neither director
Morita Yoshimitsu nor any one else attended the closing ceremony and
reception, though this might have it's reason in the fact that the film
didn't fetch any prize...
More soon,
